Kailey Olson struck out 13 batters and didn’t issue a walk, leading the Barnesville softball team to an 8-4 victory over Ottertail Central on Friday in Barnesville. The Trojans broke a 4-4 tied with a pair of fourth inning runs and added a couple of insurance runs in the sixth inning.
Barnesville had multiple hit efforts from Macie Pauna (2-3, RBI, 2R, BB, SB), Jaida Bontjes (2-4, 2R, SB) and Olson (2-3, 2RBI, 2R, BB, SB). Lillian Trowbridge drove in two runs and Lydia Braton also had a RBI.
OTC was led at the plate by Hannah Radzwill (2-3, R), Sophie Akerman (2-4, 2B, 2RBI, R), Kenady Cameron (1-3, 2B, 2RBI) and Brooklyn Christianson (1-4, R). Emma Dirkman had a pair of stolen bases.
