Parkers Prairie got off to a fast start in their 12-5 win over Long Prairie on Thursday.  The Panthers put up three runs in the first and five in the second.  They were able to maintain a comfortable lead after that.  Cohen Noska had the start on the mound and went four innings.  Seth Sansness finished the final three frames, holding the Thunder scoreless.

Dylan Debilzen had three hits with two singles, a triple and a run batted in.  Joe Johnson contributed 3 hits, including a double, and drove in four runs.  Zach Mrnak and Mason Boesl each had a pair of hits for the Panthers.

“The offensive play of the game was Mason Boesl showing his speed when he tagged on a deep fly ball to center off the bat of Debilzen and came around to score, standing up,” said Parkers Prairie Head Coach Derek Denny.  “Our defensive play of the day was a diving catch in left field by Holden Truax.  It was a well hit ball and Holden read it and took a great route and time it perfectly when he dove backwards to rob a sure extra-base hit.”

The JV team started out hot with a 7-run first inning, capped by a Ben Wagner 3-run bomb to center field, on their way to a 15-3 win.  Isaac Ruckheim went the distance on the mound, throwing 77 pitches with 4 strikeouts and one earned run in 5 innings on the mound.

The junior high split their games, losing 6-2 and winning 2-1.
