New York Mills Holds Off OTC Rally for 6-4 Win

Ottertail Central rallied from a 5-run second inning deficit against New York Mills on Thursday, however, the rally fell short as the Eagles posted a 6-4 win over the Bulldogs.  “I love the fight in the guys, we are always putting ourselves in spots to compete and win games,” stated Noah Link of the Bulldogs.

Ottertail Central scored their runs on a sacrifice fly by Lane Dilly in the third that scored Tyson Misegades, a single by Jayden Harig that scored Gavin Pausch in the third, a double by Owen Harig in the fourth, scoring Noah Link, and a sacrifice fly by Tyson Misegades in the fourth to score his brother, Kale Misegades

New York Mills scored on a home run by Brayden Ehnert in the first inning, a single by Ehnert in the second and a double by Bode Roberts in the second inning.  Winning pitcher Jonah Ruther (6IP, 4R, 6H, 4K) went yard in the sixth inning.  The Eagles had seven hits in the game with Monte Briard and Ehnert each producing a pair of hits.

Link (6IP, 7H, 6R, 4K) took the loss for the Bulldogs.  Kale Misegades struck out one batter in his one inning of relief.

OTC will play at Bertha-Hewitt on Monday at 2:30pm, will host Pillager on Tuesday in Henning at 4:30pm, will play Parkers Prairie at 2:00pm Wednesday in Henning and will travel to Siebert Field at the University of Minnesota to play Wadena-Deer Creek at 3:00pm Thursday.
