Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg picked up a 12-3 road win over Brandon-Evansville on Monday.  Evan Zimmer earned the win on the mound for the Fighting Saints and Hunter Grothen took the loss for the Chargers.

B-E was led by Carter White (2-3, 2R, BB) and Landon Sullivan (2-3).

“KMS is a well-rounded ball club and they played with confidence,” stated Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Brian Perleberg.  “We, on the other hand, didn’t play well defensively and our pitchers had a hard time throwing strikes, which makes for a bad recipe against a strong team like the Fighting Saints.  On a positive note, we were able to see some new arms on the mound and both Carter White and Landon Sullivan swung the bat well.”

Next up for the Chargers will be a double header against Border West in Wheaton on Thursday.

Brandon-Evansville won the JV game, 9-4.
