Fergus Falls Loses Baseball Double Header to Rocori

Fergus Falls lost both ends of their Central Lakes Conference baseball double header to Rocori on Tuesday.  The Otters were no hit by Hunter Fuchs in a 4-1 loss in game one, and fell to the Spartans 9-6 in game two.

Colin Becker walked and scored the only Fergus Falls run in the opener.  Carston Fronning drew a pair of walks and Leighton Buckmeier also took a walk.  Ethan Gronwold (4IP, 8H, 4ER, 1BB, 3K) was the losing pitcher.  Jack Horgen struck out 5 batters in two innings of relief.  Jack Spanier (2-3, 2B, 2SB, BB, R), Thad Lieser (2-3, RBI, R, SB, BB) and Jack Boos (2-3, RBI, 4SB) were the offensive leaders for Rocori.

Game two was tied 4-4 after six innings.  Rocori scored five times in the top of the seventh to take a 9-4 lead and held on for the 9-6 win.  Each team had 9 hits in the game.  Brady Schafer (3-4, 2B, HR, 3RBI, 2R) and Brady Weber (2-4, 2R) were the offensive leaders for the Spartans.  Weber had 4 steals, Spanier had three stolen bases and Rocori stole a total of 13 bases in the game.  Fergus Falls was led by Kellen Stenstrom (2-4, 2RBI, R, SB), Becker (2-4, R, SB), Riston Albert (2-3), Fronning (1-3, 2B, BB, 2R) and Buckmeier (1-3, R).  Albert (4IP, 2H, 1ER, 3BB, 4K) turned in a solid performance on the mound.
