Perham and Hawley split a Heart O’ Lakes Conference softball double header on Monday with the Nuggets recording a 10-0 shutout in game one and the Yellowjackets coming back from a 10-0 deficit to score 11 consecutive runs for an 11-10 win in game two.

Eagan Hastings allowed only two hits in her five scoreless innings in the circle to earn the game one win for the Nuggets.  Mallory Greiff and Marissa Hopwood had the hits for Perham.

Game two saw Hawley score eight runs in the first inning and two more in the top of the third to take a 10-0 lead.  Greiff and Morgan Smith reached base in the bottom of the third for Perham and both scored a double by Bri Hofmann.  Perham cut the lead to 10-4 with a pair of runs in the fourth.  Brittany Hofmann and Avery McAllister reached base and scored on a double by Ava Bladow.  Perham scored four in the fifth and completed the comeback with three in the sixth.  Hawley loaded the bases in the seventh but a line drive double play ended the game.

Bri Hofmann and Bladow led the Yellowjackets with 3 hits apiece.  Greiff, Smith and Brittany Hofmann each contributed two hits, and McAllister reached base four times.

Perham moves to 1-3 overall and 1-3 in the HOL.  The game with Fergus Falls scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed.  Perham will play Pelican Rapids on Thursday.
