The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton girls’ track and field team is led by second year head coach Mary Wilson, with Tony Reno assisting.  “We are a very young team with only two seniors,” stated Coach Wilson.  “We should be very strong in throws, long jump and triple jump, but we need improvement in our middle distance events.”

Emma Hellerud, who placed ninth in the state shot put competition, and Reagan Dawson, were both lost to graduation.

Returners include seniors Alexis Riniker and Emma Mosey, juniors Abigail Walton, Ella Olson and Jersey Trautman, sophomore Annika Reynolds, freshmen Emma Brinkman and Isabel Toms, and eighth-grader Ellie Sosa.

Freshmen Aria Garrett and Emersyn Strobel, eighth-graders Kennedy Hall and Taytem West, and seventh-graders Brooklyn Grubb and Mia Varianno will also be looking to compete in varsity events.

Coach Wilson says West Marshall, Park Christian, Park Rapids and Bagley/Fosston are the top teams in Section 8A.
