The M State baseball team dropped both ends of a Saturday double header with Northland, losing 14-0 in the opener and 14-5 in the nightcap. The Spartans were held without a hit in the five-inning loss in game one. Four fielding errors led to five unearned runs in the second game.
Hitting leaders in game two were Mike Short (3-3, 2B, RBI, 2R), Ben Monson (2-3, 2RBI), Eoghan Fisher (2-4, 2B, RBI) and Jackson Martin (1-3, 2B, RBI, 2R). Beau Fetting (4.2IP, 10H, 9R, 6ER, 1BB, 2K) took the loss on the mound.
M State is scheduled to play at St. Johns University against the Johnnies JV team on Monday.
