Heather Akerman returns to the Ottertail Central Softball program as Head Coach for the 2023 season. “I am excited to be a part of the OTC softball program again,” noted Akerman. “We have some experience coming back and several young athletes vying for varsity time.” Akerman will be assisted by Abby Moxness (Varsity Assistant), Ida Rogers-Ferguson (JV), Steve Ness (Junior High) and Madison Hawes (Junior High).
The Bulldogs lost Katie Aune (P), Emmie Lundquist (3B) and Jenna Allen (2B) to graduation. They return starters Hanna Radzwill (SR, 1B), Kaislyn Bunkowski (SR, C), Brooklyn Christianson (JR, C/OF), Liz Lukken (JR, OF) and Sophie Akerman (FR, P/3B).
Akerman says New York Mills is her pick to win the Park Region Conference and Section 8AA.
