The Rothsay softball team completed their second year of varsity competition, finishing with 9 wins and 12 losses last season and recording a 6-8 Little Eight Conference record.  “The girls found out what it takes to be competitive every night at the varsity level,” said Head Coach Anita Heier.

The Tigers lost Chase Balken (2B/P) and Abby Honer (1B) to graduation, however, they do have a solid nucleus returning, led by seniors Madison Tillman (C, 1st Team All-Conference), Katie Reber (P, 2nd Team All-Conference) and Emma Buckingham (OF), and juniors Kinsey Heier (OF/P) and Elli Meyer (OF).  Coach Heier will also be looking to junior Madi Tollerud (P/1B) and a number of freshmen and sophomores to step into varsity roles.

“We have a great core of juniors and seniors that will need to step up and be positive leaders for our young kids this year,” noted Heier.  “We are excited about our experience and our depth, and are looking forward to a competitive season.”

Heier will be assisted by Tanya Kort.
