B-E Girls Defeat Bears 47-37

Brandon-Evansville hosted Bertha-Hewitt in a non-conference girls’ basketball game on Tuesday with the Chargers defeating the Bears, 47-37.  B-E led 24-13 at halftime.

Hadley Baune scored a game high 16 points to lead the Chargers and Kylee Dingwall added 9 points.

“After a weird late afternoon start the girls were able to pull off a win,” said B-E Head Coach Stephen Schreiber. “Being that this was our last home game this year I just want to say a huge thank you to my 4 seniors - Syd Schaefer, Emmalee Brethorst, Kayla Bitzan Anderson, and Grace Otto. I'm proud of them and the growth they've shown personally and the growth they've helped grow with the team.”

Ava Bauch and Taylor Mitchell each scored 8 points to lead the Bears. Ashley Warren chipped in with 7 points.

Brandon-Evansville (8-16, 5-11 LEC) plays their final game of the regular season on Thursday at Verndale.

Bertha-Hewitt has a 6-19 record heading into their regular season finale at home on Thursday with Upsala.
