Fergus Falls received the number five seed in the Class A State Girls’ Hockey Tournament which begins on Wednesday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.  The Otters will play the 8:00pm quarterfinal round game against fourth-seeded South St. Paul.  The other game in their half of the bracket will feature number one Warroad against Albert Lea in the 6:00pm game.

Number two seed Proctor/Hermantown will open the tournament at 11:00am against Mankato East.  The 1:00pm quarterfinal round contest features third-seeded Orono against Luverne.

The first round winners will advance to the championship semifinals on Friday, while the losing teams will play in the consolation semifinals on Thursday.
