Ana Jyrkas gave the puck to defenseman Maggie Greenagel and the eighth-grader took it coast-to-coast, scoring the game winning goal at 3:09 of overtime as the Fergus Falls Otters claimed the Section 6A Girls Hockey championship with a 2-1 win over the River Lakes Stars.

The Otters had all 3 of the overtime shots on goal and put 45 pucks on River Lakes goalie Kaydence Roeske.

Maddie Hulter got the scoring started at 3:18 of the second period. Hannah Johnson and Maddie Brimhall assisted on the goal.  A power play goal at 12:37 by Abby Storms tied the game at 1-1.  Sophia Hess assisted on the goal.

Jyrkas made 13 saves on the 14 River Lakes shots.

Fergus Falls (22-4-1) will take a 15 game unbeaten streak into the quarterfinal round of the Class A State Girls Hockey Tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday.  Their opponent will be determined on Saturday when state seedings are announced.
