St. Cloud Secures 4-1 Win Over Fergus Falls with 2 Third Period Goals

St. Cloud put 31 shots on the Fergus Falls net and put their 4-1 win away with two goals in the third period.  The Otters had 24 shots on goal in the game.

St. Cloud got on the board first when Andrew Cumming scored on the power play at 10:38 of the opening period.  Nick Bierschbach and Ben Eiynck assisted on the goal.  Griffin Babolian notched an unassisted goal at 13:48 to tie the game at 1-1.

At 9:21 of the second period, Jackson Sheetz scored what proved to be the game winning goal, with assists from Jack Fitch and Max Kiffmeyer.

St. Cloud put the game away with a pair of goals by Cumming, who completed his hat trick.  The first won came at 14:34 and was assisted by Lukas O’Donnell and Landon Austin.  The second one was scored at 15:15 into an empty net and was assisted by Bierschbach.

Ben Glaesman was in goal for the shutout, stopping 23 of 24 shots that he faced.

Ben Swanson had 27 saves on 30 shots on goal in the Fergus Falls net.

The Otters (12-9-2) will end their regular season schedule with a 1:00pm face-off Saturday in Hutchinson.
