Viking Girls Win in Wheaton

The Pelican Rapids girls’ basketball team won for a fifth time in their last six games when they recorded a 65-48 road win over Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Saturday.  The Vikings led 32-26 at the half and outscored the Warriors 33-22 over the final 18 minutes of play.

Morgan Korf led the Vikings with 30 points, 3 assists and 5 steals.  Anna Roisum registered a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.  Ellie Welch finished with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists, and Grace Backstrom had 3 steals.

Pelican Rapids (16-4, 7-2 HOL) is at Hawley on Tuesday and at Barnesville on Thursday.
