Caleb Fronning (132) of Fergus Falls claimed first place at the 2023 MNGWL Individual State Wrestling Tournament on Saturday. Fronning defeated TJ Fuller of DGF, 4-2, in the title match.
"Our staff, program, school, and so many more are extremely proud of Caleb Fronning for earning the first ever Minnesota Ninth Grade and Under Wrestling State Championship for Fergus Falls Otter Wrestling," said Fergus Falls Head Coach Adam Schlepp. "Caleb placed 7th in the MNGWL State Tournament at 113 pounds last season. To jump up 3 weight classes, for him to come back this season and win a state championship, is absolutely phenomenal!"
