In a game where Anna Steer reached 1,000 career points, the Hawley girls’ basketball team registered a 62-58 home court victory over Park Rapids. Anna scored 15 points in the contest and her sister, Izzy Steer led the Nuggets with 23 points. Marissa Ahles was also in double figures with 10 points.
Hawley improved their season record to 12-7 with the win. The Nuggets are 2-7 against Heart O’ Lakes Conference opponents.
Hawley will host Pelican Rapids on Tuesday and play at Crookston on Thursday.
