The Fergus Falls girls’ basketball team was tied with Rocori 23-23 at halftime on Thursday night in Cold Spring, however, the Spartans took control in the second half and went on to defeat the Otters 61-42. The loss was the ninth in a row for Fergus Falls.
Jada Biersbach scored 19 of her game high 23 points in the second half. The win snapped an 8 game losing skid for Rocori.
The Otters were led by Karley Braeger with 16 points. Eleven of them came in the second half. She made all four of her free throw attempts and the Otters were 13-for-24 on the line, compared to 1-of-1 for Rocori. Bella Anderson and Brynn Sternberg each scored 6 points for Fergus Falls.
Fergus Falls (5-12) plays at Detroit Lakes Friday night at 6:00pm.
