The Brandon-Evansville girls’ basketball team won a Little Eight Conference home game against Rothsay on Thursday night, 49-44. “Girls came out firing but couldn't get shots to go early,” said B-E Head Coach Stephen Schreiber. “After falling behind 16 to 10 Emmalee Brethorst had 7 consecutive points and it was a battle the rest of the way. Really proud of how much growth this team has shown.”
Brethorst and Kylee Dingwall scored 14 points apiece and Taylor Dingwall scored 9 for the Chargers.
Rothsay was led by 16 points from Savannah Sullivan and 15 from Bethany Danielson. 12 of Sullivan’s points came on four 3-pointers.
