The M State Men’s Basketball team shot 49% from the field and made 36.4% of their 3-point shots on Wednesday as they were able to defeat Anoka-Ramsey by the score of 75-68 in Fergus Falls. M State forced 23 turnovers in the game and the Rams shot 38.6% from the floor.
Four Spartans reached double digits, led by Akok Aguer with 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting. Mikele Kambalo finished with 15, Yonis Mohamud had 13 and Noel Kabanga added 11. Aguer had a team high 6 rebounds. Aguer and Mohamud led the Spartans with 4 steals each and Kambalo led with 3 assists.
Anoka-Ramsey got a combined 37 points off the bench from Steven Colon (21) and Rodney Owens (16). Owens also had a team high 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Tristen Lee contributed 6 assists and 4 steals.
M State (11-10 overall, 3-4 MCAC South) will travel to Austin on Saturday for a 3:00pm game against Riverland.
