Anoka-Ramsey built a 31-18 halftime lead on the strength of a 19-5 second quarter on Wednesday night at M State in Fergus Falls. The Golden Rams went on to record a 60-48 victory over the lady Spartans in a MCAC Southern Division contest, dropping M State below .500 at 10-11 and putting their division record at 2-6.
Anoka-Ramsey won the rebounding battle 40-30 and shot 33% (17-51) from the field. The Rams went to the free throw line 25 times, making 20 of their foul shots. Kimori Morris led Anoka-Ramsey with 19 points and 4 assists. Janea Arnoldi registered a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Cece Bell finished with 12 points, 4 steals and 7 rebounds. Sydney Kehr grabbed 8 rebounds off the bench.
M State was 10-for-15 on free throws and shot 35% (17-49) from the floor. They were led by 18 points from Emily Dehler. Dehler also had a team high 7 assists and 5 steals, along with 4 rebounds. Lindsey Kurz led the team on the boards with 9 rebounds and also had 9 points. Keely Foley scored 12 points.
M State travels to Austin on Saturday for a 1:00pm encounter with Riverland.
