For the second time this season the Perham girls’ basketball team made fourteen 3’s in a game.  This is thought to be an all-time record for the Yellowjackets for made three’s in a game.  The precision shooting led to an 81-50 win over East Grand Forks.

“We jumped out to a good lead with pretty good defense and very effective offense,” said Perham Head Coach TJ Super. “The only drawback, of pretty much the entire night, was a bunch of silly turnovers. When we didn't turn it over we were very efficient, shooting a high percentage and making great decisions to get wide-open shots. On defense, we did a nice job of limiting cuts and drives to the basket.”

Freshman Kaia Anderson was on fire to start with 13 early points, hitting three 3's. Willow Thiel nearly had her 2nd straight game with a 1st half double-double with 14 points and 9 rebounds. She ended the game stuffing the stat sheet, with 22 points, 18 rebounds, 8 blocks, and 5 assists. Mya Morris and Kaia Anderson led the Jackets with 23 points each, combining for 12 threes made.

East Grand Forks was led by Mya Langerud with 12 points and Tatem Votava with 10.

Perham (17-1, 8-0 HOL) will host Pelican Rapids on Thursday night.
