The Fergus Falls girls’ basketball team lost for a seventh straight time on Thursday night as they lost to the third ranked Albany Huskies by the final score of 71-38.  The Huskies led 35-19 at the half.  The win improved the Huskies record to 14-1 and the loss puts the Otters at 5-10.

“Our shooting woes continued to night,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Josh Steer.  “Shooting 26% overall and 20% from 3-point range won’t get it done.  I thought we competed really hard for a good part of the first half.  We took better care of the ball and hung with them until the final two minutes of the half when the wheels started to fall off.”

Albany won the rebounding battle 46-32.

Brynn Sternberg was the only Otter in double digits, scoring 11 points.  Karley Braeger had 8 points, including a pair of 3-point field goals.

Fergus Falls will host Sartell on Friday night.
