Pelican Rapids led 32-23 at the half and went on to record a 60-49 victory over the Frazee Hornets on Thursday night.  Ian Fahje paced three Vikings in double figures with 19 points.  Charlie Larson and Trevon Benson added 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Carter Sonnenberg led Frazee with 19 points and Asher Blaine finished with 10.

“We played some good basketball in spurts tonight, but had a hard time being consistent for long stretches,” said Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud.  “We pushed the lead to fifteen early in the second half, but we weren’t able to put Frazee away as we were too shaky down the stretch on the offensive end when we needed to play solid and with some poise.”

Pelican Rapids (10-5, 4-3 HOL) has won three straight games.  They will host Wadena-Deer Creek next Tuesday.

Frazee (3-9) will host New York Mills in a non-conference contest on Saturday.
