Cardinals Blank Otters in CLC Boys Hockey

Alexandria put thirty shots on goal Friday night in a 4-0 win over Fergus Falls in a high school boys’ hockey contest at the Runestone Community Center in Alexandria.  Fergus Falls finished the night with 18 shots on goal.  Elijah Rasmusen was in goal for the Cardinals.

Alexandria got the scoring started with a power play goal by Joe Lamski at 4:48 of the first period, assisted by Jack Lamski.  The Cardinals increased their lead to 2-0 when Gavin Olson scored from Leo Kompelien and Tyler Kludt at 11:29.

In the second period, Caleb Lind scored at 2:11 from Evan Anderson and Jack Breitzman.  Joe Lamski’s second goal of the game at 6:11 was setup by Gage Castle, giving Alexandria their 4-0 lead.

Fergus Falls (9-5) will host Sauk Rapids-Rice on Tuesday and Brainerd on Thursday.

Alexandria (4-10-1) will host Willmar on Tuesday and Sauk Rapids-Rice on Thursday.
