The Perham girls’ basketball team ran their winning streak to seven games and improved their overall record to 14-1 with a 63-52 win in Barnesville on Thursday night.  “We jumped out to a pretty big lead, up by as many as 21 at one point,” reported Head Coach TJ Super of the Yellowjackets.  “Barnesville did a great job coming back.  Freshman Kaia Anderson was clutch from the free throw line down the stretch.”

Mya Morris led Perham with 17 points, including five 3’s.  Anderson finished with 16, making 5-of-6 free throws in the second half and added three 3-point field goals.  Willow Thiel came through with 6-of-7 shooting from the foul line on the way to a 14 point night, and Olivia Pilgrim chipped in with 9 points.

Emily Smith and Abby John led the Trojans with 20 and 15 points, respectively.

Barnesville (5-8) will host Roseau in a non-conference contest on Friday night.

Perham remains unbeaten in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference with a 7-0 mark.  They will host Frazee on Tuesday, January 24.
