The Lady Cards hit the road again for its final 2 of 3 games on the week within 5 days. The Lady Cards ended up putting on 730 miles in 3 days against 2 section opponents (Moorhead and Roseau) and the defending class A champions, Warroad.

The Cardinals took on the Warroad Warriors Friday evening. We showed once again that we can play with the top teams, but costly mistakes and inconsistent plays makes things difficult to close out a game. Ella Westlund would score both Cardinal goals and Lauren Maras would snag an assist on both goals. Cadence Ellingson would grab an assist as well. Rachael Mohr played solidly against the Warriors and made 49 saves on the night.

The Lady Cards looked to rebound the next day to take on section opponent, the Roseau Rams who previously beat the Cards at the beginning of the year 3-1. Once again, the Cards would jump out and take the lead and then lose the 2-1 lead with 5:00 remaining in the 3rd period. The Cards would dominate the OT with solid defensive plays and offensive zone opportunities but weren't able to capitalize. The Rams would score for the win with 3:30 left in OT. Cardinal goals were scored by Emma Ramstorf and Julia Doherty. Assists went to Doherty and Morgan Aure. Hunter Sellnow played well between the pipes with 30 saves. The Cardinals look to rebound with another 3 game week this week!
