“We got off to a great start both offensively and defensively,” stated Hovland.  “It’s tough playing a team that you don’t know much about.  I thought the girls adjusted really well.  Alayna Evavold (8 points) had a nice game off the bench with her first game this year coming back from injury.  She adds some nice depth to our team.”

Underwood had four players in double figures, led by Liz Lukken with 20 points.  Lukken also had 6 steals to lead the Rockets.  Mo Bugbee scored 15 points, Zoey Swanson had 12 and Kallyn Grove finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

Underwood (11-3, 7-1 LEC) will play at Ashby on Friday night.
