Perham Boys Win HOL Battle with Breckenridge

Perham made 56% (33-59) of their field goal attempts on Tuesday night as they handed Breckenridge a 74-39 Heart O’ Lakes Conference loss on the Cowboys home floor.  Breckenridge was held to 35% (15-43) shooting on the night.

Perham placed four players in double digits, led by 17 points from Soren Anderson.  Anderson also had 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.  Jacob Daniels finished with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting, Micah Thompson had 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, and Alex Ohm contributed 11 points and 6 assists.

Landon Blaufuss led the Cowboys with 18 points and 6 rebounds.  Alex Sanchez and Daymon Smith finished with 7 and 6 points, respectively.  Sanchez had a team high 3 assists.

"Tough one for the Cowboys," said Head Coach Jordan Christensen. "Struggled on offense and defense. Landon Blaufuss carried us offensively and battled all night."

Perham (12-1, 4-1 HOL) will play at Hawley on Friday night as they continued their stretch of six straight road contests.

Breckenridge (2-7, 1-3 HOL) will play at Pelican Rapids Thursday night and will face Wahpeton at NDSCS on Saturday.
