A third period goal by Maddie Hulter was all the scoring there was on Thursday night in Willmar as the Fergus Falls girls’ hockey team won a tight 1-0 game over the Cardinals.  Assists were awarded to Tyra Skjeret and Lydia Johnson.

Ana Jyrkas stopped all 17 Willmar shots on goal and the Otters put 27 shots on the Cardinal goalie, Erin Eilers, who stopped 26 of them.

“Huge section win against a scrappy foe tonight,” commented Head Coach Tim Lill of the Otters.  “Skjeret slipped a greasy puck across to Maddie and she finished in Hulter form for a shorty.  Beautiful hockey play by both of them.”

Fergus Falls has won eight straight games.  They improved their season record to 16-4.  The Otters will host Brainerd/Little Falls on Friday night.
