Fergus Falls traveled to Willmar for a Central Lakes Conference girls’ basketball game on Tuesday night.  The Otters trailed 27-22 at halftime, tied the game at 30-30 early in the second half, but Willmar was able to regain the lead and finish with a 58-46 win.

“The Cardinals came out shooting the ball really well and once again we dug ourselves into a hole,” reported Fergus Falls Head Coach Josh Steer.  “The ball wasn’t going in the hole for us and we didn’t play good enough defense to overcome that.”

Brynn Sternberg led the Otters with 13 points and 4 assists.  Karley Braeger added 11 points and Cyntreya Lockett had 10 points and 8 rebounds.  Jenna Carlson also chipped in with 8 points.

Fergus Falls (5-5) will play at Willmar on Friday and at Perham on Saturday.
