Jayden Sonnenberg poured in 21 points to lead the Frazee Hornets to a 64-49 home court win over Battle Lake on Monday night in a non-conference girls’ basketball contest. The Hornets jumped out to a 14 point halftime lead on the way to the victory.
“We fell behind early, were able to cut into the lead a few times in the second half, but could never gain the lead,” reported Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso.
Battle Lake was led by Morgan Malone and Sophie Akerman with 14 points each.
Frazee (3-6) will host Barnesville in a Heart O’ Lakes Conference game on Thursday night.
Battle Lake (0-10) is at home to Lake Park-Audubon in another non-conference tilt on Friday.
