Fergus Falls traveled to Willmar for a Central Lakes Conference Swimming and Diving Meet and the Otter boys returned home with a 113-71 dual win. “We won 9-of-12 events tonight and had 12 personal best times,” reported Head Coach Randy Hansen. “Swimming is one of those sports where you can mark your success by the clock, but there also is a team score kept. We have had a lot of success with individuals swimming great times but have not had too many dual meet victories lately, especially in the tough CLC. It was really nice to get the win today and that is a testament to the hard work the boys have put in.”
The 200 Freestyle and 400 Freestyle relays swam their best times of the year and the Medley relay was not far off.
Matthew Tuel had a terrific night going under 2 minutes in the 200 Free and dropping close to 8 seconds in his 500. Landon Votava also had 2 best times in those same events. Jaden Kwapinski had a nice drop in the 200 IM as did Reece Hansen in the 100 Backstroke.
Saturday the Otters travel to West Fargo for the Border Battle Invitational.
