The Henning girls’ basketball team scored 34 first half points, building a 16 point halftime lead, and went on to record a 57-34 victory in Wadena on Tuesday night.  Three Hornets were in double figures, led by Lyvia Misegades with 23.  Faith Fisher and Becca Frederick added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Maddie Carsten led the Wolverines with 14 points.

“Tough one tonight against Henning,” noted WDC Head Coach Jordan Cresap. “They played stifling defense from the start and forced us into some poor decisions and poor shooting all throughout the game. Good news is Henning showed us what we need to improve on going forward!”

Henning (7-1) won for a seventh straight time.  The Hornets will play at New York Mills on Friday night.

Wadena-Deer Creek (4-3) has dropped three in a row.  They will play at Pillager on Friday.
