Roberts Earns 75th Career Win as Otters Finish 6th at Benson Classic

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg won the Benson Wrestling Classic with 213 points, seven better than runner-up Benson at 206.  Tracy-Milroy-Balaton-Westbrook-Walnut grove was third with 198.  They were followed by Hibbing 153, Pipestone 151, Fergus Falls 133.5, Albany 111, Sauk Centre-Melrose 93.5, Hopkins 46 and Crosby-Ironton 35.

“Competition today was very tough, and we rose to the occasion,” commented Fergus Falls Head Coach Adam Schlepp. “We scored well over 100 points and 9 place winners against some of the toughest Class A schools in Minnesota.”

Delvin Roberts of Fergus Falls earned his 75th career victory with his first win of the day. 

“We are extremely proud of Delvin today,” noted Schlepp.  “He has been extremely dedicated to the sport of wrestling since he could walk, so watching him earn his 75th career victory is deeply satisfying for our entire team and staff.  Delvin has worked very hard for everything he has earned on the mat.  We couldn’t be happier to see his years of hard work be rewarded.”
