Macy Grosz had a big first half for West Central Area on Wednesday, scoring 16 of her game high 21 points in the first half as the Knights built a 32-13 halftime lead on Battle Lake. The lady Knights went on to post a 50-32 win over the Battlers.
“We got down early, but played much better in the second half, outscoring them 19-18 over the final 18 minutes,” said Battle Lake Head Coach Davis Marso.
Leading scorers for Battle Lake were Morgan Malone with 11 and Sophie Akerman with 7.
West Central Area will face Pelican Rapids in the championship game of the Valhalla division of the Minnesota National Bank Classic at 6:00pm Thursday.
Battle Lake has a date with Lake Park-Audubon to decide third place at 12:45pm Thursday.
