Perham improved their season record to 6-0 with a 67-40 win over Sauk Centre on Wednesday at the Perham Holiday Basketball Tournament. The Yellowjackets built a 30-16 halftime record and won the second half 37-24. Perham shot 54.5% (24-44) from the field and made 55% (11-20) of their three-pointers.
Soren Anderson led four players in double digits, scoring 20 points. He also had 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Micah Thompson contributed 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists, Alex Ohm had 12 points, 9 assists, 3 steals and 5 rebounds) and Jacob Daniels ended up with 12 points and 4 boards. Evan Kovash secured 7 rebounds to go along with 5 points.
Sauk Centre was led by Jay Neubert’s 18 points. Andrew Drevlow added 8 points. The Mainstreeters made just 33% (16-49) of their shots from the floor.
Perham will host Detroit Lakes on Tuesday, January 3.
