Mia Blaskowski had 13 of her game high 19 points in the first half as the Underwood girls’ basketball team kept their perfect Little Eight Conference record intact with a 58-43 win over Rothsay on Thursday night at the Bill Rose Gymnasium in Rothsay.

Liz Lukken and Kallyn Grove were also in double digits with 16 and 11 points, respectively.

Savannah Sullivan had a team high 13 points to lead the Tigers.  Madison Tillman pulled down a team leading 13 rebounds and finished with 5 points.  Kenadi Carlsrud contributed 12 points and 8 rebounds.

“I thought we battled from start to finish tonight,” commented Head Coach Anita Heier of Rothsay.  “The effort was always there from our girls.  Underwood is a well-coached team with great athletes and they continued to create mismatches that were too much for us to overcome.”

Rothsay (5-2, 3-1 LEC) will host Breckenridge on Friday, December 30.

Underwood (6-1, 5-0 LEC) plays in the Pelican Rapids Holiday Tournament on Wednesday and Thursday.
