Lauren Maras scored the lone Alexandria goal on Friday night as the lady Cards dropped a 6-1 decision to Holy Family at the Runestone Community Center in Alexandria. Maras was assisted by Morgan Aure on the goal at 2:31 of the second period.
Holy Family put 33 shots on the Alexandria net and the Cardinals had 21 shots on goal.
Five different players scored goals for Holy Family, with Haley Box netting two of them. Ella Knewtson had a power play goal.
Holy Family took a 2-0 lead with a pair of shorthanded goals in the first period by Box and Grayson Limke. Katya Sander, Olivia Paidosh and Taylor Koeppl each assisted on two goals.
Alexandria (4-5-1) will play at River Lakes on Thursday.
