The Pelican Rapids girls’ basketball team traveled to Park Rapids on Thursday night and had three girls reach double figures in scoring as the Vikings held off the Panthers for a 56-54 victory. The Vikings trailed 25-19 at the half, but outscored Park Rapids 37-29 over the final 18 minutes of play.
Morgan Korf registered a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. She also had a team high 7 assists and came up with a pair of steals. Ellie Welch scored 15 points and secured 8 rebounds, and Kelsey Isaman finished with 10 points and 3 steals. Claudia Gurath corralled 6 rebounds for the Vikings.
Pelican Rapids (3-0) will host East Grand Forks in a 1:30pm contest on Saturday.
