The Ashby/Brandon-Evansville Cross Country team has handed out their awards for the 2022 season.  The season was highlighted by Logan Froemming setting the school record in his last race when he ran a time of 18:00.1 at the Section Meet in Staples.  He earned All-Conference honors with his 9th place finish and was Academic All-Conference.  The boys’ team earned the Gold Academic Award.

“Logan setting the record is highly fitting as he was a big reason why our program was started six years ago,” stated Head Coach Robert Bosma.  “The summer before he was in seventh grade, he didn’t want to play football, but wanted to compete.  His mother, Jen Froemming, was a track coach at the time and she went to the school board to see about starting a cross country program.  From there, it all fell into place.  Logan is now the only individual who has gone through six years of our program and I cannot thank him enough for his loyalty to the program and the dedication to making it the team it is today.”
