Ian Fahje led the way with 20 points. Hunter Williams and Tanner Tollerud added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Hunter Nicholas scored 13 points to lead the Pirates.
“This was a solid win for our guys tonight as we felt we played a little more consistently from start to finish than we did in our first game,” said Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud. “Defensively, we were active and rotated well which was good to see so early in the season. We need to be better at finishing at the rim on offense and haven’t made shots from the perimeter consistently yet, so hopefully we can start to see some growth in those areas as we move forward this week.”
Pelican Rapids (2-0) will play at Park Rapids on Tuesday night.
