Lindsey Kurz scored a game high 18 points, dished out 4 assists and came up with 5 steals on Tuesday night to lead the M State lady Spartans to a 67-41 victory over Minnesota North College-Itasca in Grand Rapids. M State evened their season record at 2-2 with the victory.
Itzel Salazar also had 18 points, while adding 4 assists and 5 steals. Kiera Cox finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals, and Keely Foley netted 10 points, while securing 6 rebounds.
M State led 16-13 after the first quarter, outscored Itasca 21-5 in the second quarter to build a 37-18 halftime lead, extended their lead to 49-27 after three and put up 18 fourth quarter points to 14 for the lady Vikings to push the margin of victory of 26 points.
The lady Spartans will host Vermilion at 5:30pm Friday and Mesabi Range at 1:00pm on Saturday in Fergus Falls.
