“The Falcons aggressive defense really gave us struggles and forced us into way too many turnovers,” said Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso. “In the second half we did a little better against their press and were able to get some better offense going, cutting the lead to single digits. Some timely outside shooting by the Falcons gave them a nice mid-half run and they finished the game strong.”
Avery Akkre led the Falcons with 16 points. Battle Lake had two players in double figures, Kenady Cameron with 11 points and Morgan Malone with 10.
Battle Lake will open their home season with a 6:00pm tip-off against Henning on Thursday night.
