“I felt the boys were fired up and ready to play a game on Friday,” commented Barnesville Head Coach Bryan Strand.  “We had a fantastic week of prep, going to the Fargo dome twice and then to St. Johns on Thursday, we also got in two morning practices last week which helped a ton.  I can't thank my coaches enough for all their hard work this past week, probably sat at the school for around 14 hours between Saturday and Sunday getting the game plan and film breakdown done, and everyone pitched in and I felt our kids were prepared for that game.  JCC is a great team, had a great year and are coached by a tremendous coach who just got his 200th win!  They are a fantastic team, our boys just came out on top on Friday and all their hard work has paid off.  From the weight room, to film study to just staying healthy, this team has a great feel to them.  It is going to be a fun two weeks to get ready for our next opponent who we are very familiar with.  We played Chatfield last year in the semi-finals and played very well.  We gave up two late TD's and that was costly, but we did play very well against them.  Looking forward to the rematch.”  

John Roller ran 39 yards for the first touchdown of the game on the Trojans first possession of the game.  Isaac Maneval booted the extra point for a 7-0 lead.

Barnesville expanded their lead to 14-0 on a one yard TD run by Braeden Bredman, capping a 74 yard, 12-play scoring drive.  A Maneval PAT kick was added following the touchdown.  Ben Dahlin returned the ensuing kickoff 89 yards to get JCC on the board, but the Trojans blocked the extra point, leaving the score at 14-6.  Barnesville increased their lead to 21-6 on a Roller 61 yard touchdown run and a third Maneval extra point kick.

A 6 yard rushing TD by Andrew Pederson and a Maneval PAT kick put the score at 28-6 with 5:47 left in the third quarter.  The Huskies cut the lead to 28-12 on a 49 yard run by Roman Voss.  Barnesville then scored on a 77 yard pass from Zachary Bredman to Dawson Gregg and an extra point kick by Maneval, putting the lead at 35-12.

In the fourth quarter, Barnesville concluded the scoring with a 31 yard touchdown run by Gannon Bolgrean, making the final score 41-12.

“Defensively the other night we were led by Ethan Larson who tallied 4 solo and 7 assisted tackles, Asher O'Brian stepped in for injured corner Aaron Baker and played great making 3 solo and 3 assisted tackles.   Offensively, Zach Bredman had a game!  98 yards rushing, passing for over 100 more, he was fantastic.  All the backs ran hard, the offensive line blocked so well, special teams were great.  The boys are playing some good football and hoping to keep it going for one more game.  It is nice to be back in the championship game, we have been here before and this time we want to win the thing and will work our butts off to accomplish that.”

Braeden Bredman forced a fumble and recorded half-a-sack, Christian Lien had a sack and forced a fumble.  Logan Yeske and Jack Maesse each recovered a fumble and Bolgrean intercepted a pass.

Barnesville had 348 yards rushing and 105 yards receiving for 453 yards of offense.  Roller ran for 140 yards on 13 carries and Zachary Bredman had 98 yards on 12 carries.  Bredman completed 2-of-3 passes for 105 yards.  Gregg (1-77-1) and Braeden Bredman (1-28-0) had the receptions.

Jackson County Central was led by Gabriel Wolff (19 carries, 81 yards), Roman Voss (11 completions, 24 attempts, 105 yards), Dahlin (4 receptions, 28 yards) and Travis Rogotzke (3 catches, 35 yards).   The Huskies had 267 total yards (162 rushing, 105 passing).
