The Hastings girls’ hockey team paid a visit to Fergus Falls on Saturday afternoon and the Otters sent the Raiders home with a 3-0 loss.  Ana Jyrkas stopped all 22 shots she faced in net and Fergus Falls had 21 shots on goal, scoring one goal in each period.  The Otters improved to 3-1 on the season.

Averie Tonneson scored the first goal of the day, assisted by Lydia Johnson and Brooke Zierden.

In the second period, Maddie Hulter found the back of the net with assists from Hannah Johnson and Maddison Brimhall.

The final goal of the game was scored by Skye Norgren and was setup by Rachel DeBrito.

"Jyrkas played with great poise and confidence," said Fergus Falls Head Coach Tim Lill.  "She deserved the shutty.  Tonneson was also rewarded with her first varsity goal, but played great in the defensive zone as well.  We didn't have great energy, but played well enough to get a home win."

The Otters will play a road game against the St. Cloud Crush on Tuesday night at the MAC before returning home for a 2:30pm contest against Bismarck next Saturday.
