The Alexandria Cardinals advanced three individuals and two relay teams to the final day of the Girls' Class A State Swimming and Diving Championships at the U of M. To qualify for the second day of competition individuals must place in the top 16 in their specific events.
Individuals moving on are Brooklyn Millward in the 200 freestyle, Jisella Haskamp in the 100 freestyle and Erica Johnson in diving.
Millward was 16th (2:00.96), Haskamp seventh (53.51) and Johnson 8th (251.70) in the preliminary round.
The Cardinals also qualified the 200 medley relay team of Grace Urke, Alaina Guenther, Haskamp and Millward with a 16th place finish and a time of 1:53.20, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Guenther, Millward, Urke and Haskamp with a fifteenth place finish and a time of 3:44.97.
