Crookston Puts 59 Shots on Goal in 10-4 Opening Night Win Over Blades

Crookston put 59 shots on the Breckenridge/Wahpeton net and the Blades had 19 shots on goal in their season opening 10-4 loss to the Pirates on Monday night.

The teams combined on five first period goals as the Pirates took a 3-2 lead into the intermission.  Crookston expanded their lead to 5-2 with a pair of second period goals and added five third period goals to the Blades two for a 10-4 final score. 

Center Reagan Wohlers scored all four goals for the Blades, the first three unassisted.  Karsyn Neppl and Kennedy Schuler assisted on her final goal in the third period.  Goalie Kolle Schuler turned aside 49 shots.

Ashlyn Bailey and Reese Swanson each scored hat tricks for Crookston.  Brekken Tull assisted on four goals for the Pirates.
