Top-Seeded Warriors Dominate Sebeka in Section 4 9-Man Semifinals

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross held Sebeka to 29 total yards and 3 first downs on Saturday afternoon as the top-seeded Warriors cruised to a 54-0 win over the Trojans in the Section 4 9-Man semifinals.  Wheaton/Herman-Norcross had 374 yards of total offense with 220 coming on the ground and 154 through the air.

Bryant Callenius scored on a one yard run in the first quarter and Clint Determan booted the extra point staking the Warriors to a 7-0 lead.  Brody Nachbor was able to score on a 6 yard run and Callenius caught a two-point conversion pass from Determan to make the score 15-0.  A 55 yard TD pass from Marshall Tolifson to Callenius put the advantage at 21-0 after one quarter of play.

In the second quarter Callenius got in the end zone on an 8 yard run and Determan added the PAT kick making it a 28-0 score.  The lead increased to 35-0 on a 2 yard run by Brayden Hofer and a kick by Determan.  Nachbor hauled in a 19 yard TD pass from Tolifson and Determan added the 42nd point as the Warriors led 42-0 at halftime.

The third quarter was scoreless and the Warriors added two fourth quarter touchdowns, the first one on a 7 yard run by Holden Rinke and the second on a 1 yard pass from Rinke to Ernest Jibben.

Tolifson completed 8-of-13 passes for 132 yards and a pair of TD passes.  Rinke was 5-for-5 throwing the football for 22 yards and one touchdown.  Callenius caught two passes for 63 yards, Nachbor had 3 receptions for 23 yards and Determan caught two passes for 27 yards.  Nachbor (4 carries, 51 yards and Hofer (6 carries, 50 yards) were the leading rushers for the Warriors.

The Warriors will now face second-seeded Verndale for the Section 4 9-Man title at 10:00am Friday at the Fargodome.
