Breckenridge recorded a 3-1 (14-26, 25-21, 25-23, 25-20) victory over Underwood in the Section 6A North Sub-section playoffs on Wednesday night.  With the win the Cowgirls advance to a round two encounter with the Hillcrest Comets on Friday night in Fergus Falls.

The Cowgirls were led by Abby Johnson (22 kills, 16 digs, 1 solo block, 1 block assist, 1 ace), Sydni Roberts (33 digs), Parker Yaggie (22 assists, 16 digs, 1 ace), Kelsey Ceroll (22 assists, 17 digs), Katlyn Kaehler (14 digs, 3 kills, 1 ace, 1 block assist), Addie Twidwell (15 kills, 3 block assists, 1 solo block), Hailee Hanson (8 kills, 7 digs, 2 aces, 3 block assists), Mattea Vig (2 kills, 5 digs, 2 block assists) and Ivy Ovsak (3 kills, 4 digs, 2 block assists).

“It’s always so hard to see the season come to an end,” commented Underwood Head Coach Breck Grove.  “Our girls fought hard and left it all out on the floor, which is all you can ask for as a coach.  I am proud of the way we played point-for-point with a solid Breckenridge team, but in the end, they were able to finish out on top.”

Leaders for the Rockets were Liz Lukken (15 kills, 11/11 serves, 29 digs), Kallyn Grove (7 kills, 31 set assists, 26/26 serves, 28 digs, 3 blocks), Becca Johnson (20 digs, 8/8 serves), Mily Albjerg (10 kills, 15/15 serves, 7 digs, 5 blocks), Jorja Gabrielson (4 digs, 3 blocks, 8 kills, 11/11 serves) and Brooklyn Christianson (7 kills, 18/20 serves, 1 ace, 12 digs, 3 blocks).
